My prom is in about 3 weeks now. Coming into 2016 I thought I'd be where I wanted to be at this point but...no. I've let myself slip too often that's the problem. I thought by now I'd be in the 130s, but here I am still where I was after the holidays. March has been really wierd because I've seen some of my lowest weights of the year and some of my highest, ranging from 141 one day and 149 the next. Currently I am 146ish and have changed my goals a little. So by prom I want to weigh 143-140 so I want to lose 3 to 6 pounds in 3 weeks. Is that possible for someone of my weight to lose pure fat that fast?

Without knowing your height, it's hard to say. How old are you?

3 pounds is doable. 6? Probably not. Aim for the three pounds and invest in some Spanx for under your gown.

Yeah I was thinking that 3 would be pretty achievable. I do notice that I can lose weight really fast if I work out more and eat healthier, but 6 seems like too much to ask for in 3 weeks. BUT it is a possibility.

You could easily hit the 6 lb mark based on what you said about your varying weigh ins. You likely weigh marginally less than you think you do but those slip ups have your body storing excess water weight. If you eat cleanly, work out a few times a week and stay well hydrated I'm sure you can hit your targets. Losing 2 lbs a week is a healthy weight loss rate for most people
