Getting a food scale :)

Today I'll be getting my very own food scale! No more guessing if 1/2 a cup of frozen strawberries means you have to imagine filling in the gaps, or trying to figure out if my version of a 'slice' of homemade bread is the same as normal (I cook, a lot, so it will also be helpful when I bake things). Anyway, I'm excited so I thought I'd share.

Congrats! I love my scale. I use it to weigh all kinds of things. Just yesterday, I put my salad on the scale, zero'd it out then proceeded to add 30 grams of salad dressing, which is one serving of two tablespoons. Didn't have to dirty a measuring spoon and knew I had the perfect serving size.

I went with the EatSmart one off of Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001N07KUE ) since it is reviewed so highly.

I was actually hoping this morning that one serving of cereal is more than fits in my measuring cup :)

I just got one the other day and I am not sure why I waited so long. It's so nice to know that my serving sizes are completely accurate!

Congrats! I think a food diary without a digital food scale is just guesswork. Weighing and preparing your own meals is really the only way to really control your intake.
