Shakes

Can anyone recommend a decent meal replacement shake that is inexpensive? I am trying to get back on my diet but am living with people who have poor eating habits. I would like to try some type of shake so I can make it and go without being tempted. I understand shakes should not be used indefinitely and learning to eat well is part of the process. I am just wanting to try to give myself a little push off in the beginning. Can anyone recommend something inexpensive?

Instead of shakes, I would recommend meal planning if you are willing to do some cooking - choose a day to cook/prep 3 to 4 days of meals in advance so you have a better handle on the calories/macro and micros you are consuming. You can invest less than $20 in a pack of meal prep containers and about the same for a lunch tote.
Shakes are going to be more expensive in general versus cooking your own food, but I would recommend muscle milk pro due to the protein shake having a decent nutrition to calorie ratio.

Trader Joe's whey with skim milk. It's a powder and good to have on hand when you caught short.

I tend to drink a lot of calories so I will have a shake a couple of times a week to get my fill. I use Costco's Vega Pea Protein powder, a banana, strawberries, and 1 cup of coconut milk blended. It makes a great shake, good protein (you can use one or two scoops of powder) and it fills my need. Sometimes I'll take one with me when I am running around so I don't have to take food with me (I don't do fast food so usually take stuff with me to eat). I think a few times a week or for one meal a day they can be very helpful. I would think the more often you're going to have a shake, you should add some greens as well (kale, romaine, etc). Mine are calorie dense (usually 208 calories per serving) so you will want to really measure and keep track of your ingredients.
