I mix in choc/peanut butter protein powder or pb2 and chia seeds.0

Or.. Just plain! I like to mix chili with it, a spoon of chili and a spoon of cottage cheese. Or stew. Also great in any tomato sauce based dishes0
-
Chia seeds, milled flax seeds, hot sauce, flavored tuna packets, jelly/jam0
-
we use it with salad greens in place of dressing.along with the greens ,cottage cheese we put what ever we have. Can turn into a full meal deal.

Exactly the same but without the chia seeds.
Or I'll mix in some cinnamon and splenda.0 -
I use it like a salad dressing - so chicken, cherry tomatoes and leaves of some sort...0
-
I like it for a light breakfast - cottage cheese spread on ryvita crackers with cherry tomatoes on top.0
-
1/4 cup cottage cheese with egg whites for breakfast. Makes a creamy scramble and I add some veggies to it, too. Very filling and stays with you all morning!0

All great ideas thank you! Do y'all get fat free or full/low fat? I don't really know anything about what is best in regard to that.0
-
Sweet - usually fruit, fruit preserve, prunes or protein powder
Savoury - salsa, chili, chives, tuna, chicken, turkey, chopped veggies, tomatoes and watercress. I also add seasoning such as ranch and use as a dip.0 -
I like garlic powder, pepper and a little salt. I usually do low fat because cows milk has a lot of saturated fat (a bad fat) and I am trying not to eat too much of them.0
-
chopped celery and tomatoes, sprinkled with a little pepper.0
-
I buy low fat, just the Woolworths home brand, it's pretty good.0

It depends on your calorie/macro needs. If you're not getting enough fat from other sources, go regular. I've found the low-fat version (2%) is the best mix of calories/macros/taste for me.0 -
A few kalamatta olives and some pepper.0
-
Plain with baked potatoe
Plain with roasted almonds
Plain with corn tortilla0 -

I get the 1% just because I like to save my fat calories for other things. Cottage cheese on a baked sweet potato with black beans and salsa is a great and not too heavy dinner.0 -
I love to take 3/4-1 cup of cottage cheese + 1 scoop of a good tasting vanilla protein (I prefer PEScience) + 1/2 cup crushed pineapple. Mix it all together and eat right away or refrigerate overnight. Sweet, creamy, and full of protein. It's a great post-workout snack/meal too.0

Lately for protein boost been mixing Fat free cottage cheese w/Chobani Lemon yogurt & a dab of my homemade sour cherry jam. Very filling. Hits the protein (24gm) & takes care of the sweet, too. (I eat fat free CC cuz I'd rather eat salmon or butter for my fats).0

I add about 50 grams in with my scrambed eggs (2 or 3 whole eggs) before I cook them....it makes the eggs really creamy and delicious!
I buy full-fat cottage cheese (4%). Tastes better and not that much calorie difference. And I tend to prefer generic/store brands over Kraft or Borden or name brands!0 -
1/4 cup of 4% cottage cheese on my salads instead of dressing, on baked potato instead of butter, with salsa for my celery & carrots, mixed with black beans, tomatoes, avocado for a dip, by itself with a tomato, in 1/2 an avocado, with fresh pineapple and many times just plain ole' cottage cheese.0

I like to add frozen berries with cottage cheese (optional add your sweetener) and blend it away! Its my replacement for ice cream/frozen yogurt. or a shake if you add almond milk
I also make pancakes or waffles. 1/3 old fashion oats blended or (the oat flour) 1/3 cottage cheese, 1/3 egg whites, vanilla extract or cinnamon, baking powder. Blend and you got your mix. Sound weird, but its delicious.0 -
I have never considered cottage cheese to be a sweet food. (peaches and cream? So nasty.) I like to get Dean's cottage cheese with chives and use it as dip for crackers or spread it on bread0
-
bf uses pepper or other savory stuff.
i use jam/jelly. they can be savory too
i've been reading that you can blend it and add some greek yogurt. it is supposed to be cream cheesey0 -

I get the 1% no salt added. I've come to really look forward to my nightly bowl with mixed in protein powder. I get kind of annoyed when my market is out of the cottage cheese and I'm running out at home.0 -
I like mine with a soft boiled egg, salt and pepper. Mix it all together and it's a protein powerhouse. I always do full fat everything as I find that the higher the fat content, the more satiating.0
-
Everything.
Salsa, mixing it with eggs and making an omelet, using it as cheese in salad with some salt and pepper, mixing it with canned tuna/salmon and mustard, pomegranate seeds, pineapple and vanilla protein powder, frozen peaches and a peppermint tea bag (it's cheaper than buying dried mint spice), mixed with flavored Greek yogurt, mixed with PB2 and frozen/heated.
I like getting the 1-2%. 0% tastes too watery and sour.0
