A quote I thought worth sharing ...

I get several of the Women's Health newsletters and the one I opened this morning had a quote I find to be true and was something one of the trainers at my gym actually told me almost the same thing months ago ... I live by it.
"If you decide the pain is unbearble, your tolerance for it will be lower than if you think you can handle it, so give yourself a mental pep talk before you embark on your workout (OK, the quote actually says "before you hop on the treadmill, but that was just a tad to specific for my taste). Remind yourself of how strong and capable you are. After all, if women can endure bikini waxes, tattoos and childbirth, you can survive a full-throttle workout".
OK, so the last part is because it's a magazine geared for women, but men also get tattoos and it really goes without saying that this quote can easily pertain to men as well as women. I do believe I will be printing a modified version of this one out and taping to the inside of my gym locker!

Never had a bikini wax or tattoo, but I can attest to the pain of childbirth and that lasts a lot longer than a daily workout!!!!0

One I like (and that I tell my clients at work - I'm a drugs counsellor) is:
"If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got"
It's similar to that quote about insanity "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results each time"0 -
Never thought of it that way. Makes sense.0
