Why would a smoothie made from blueberries,cherries,unsweetened almond milk, chia and flax seeds have so many carbs? Is it the Cherries? Frustrating when this should be good for me.

Chia and Flax have omega 3 fats and are high carb. They ARE good for you, in small amounts.0

I put in a Tablespoon of each. I just get discouraged when I plug in a recipes that I think is going to be great-but since I need to be watching my carbs and lower my LDL, then realize the choices may not have been the best. I am still trying to figure out what is best for me. I was advised by my dietitian not to do any type of Atkins or LCHF. Arggggg. At least I am trying to figure his out and lose weight and avoid being diagnosed as pre diabetic. Right now sugar is at 102.0
