It is a virtual race (I guess) where you log miles and it takes you through a course and you get a medal (?). Looks kind of cool-anyone tried it? Anyone interested in doing it with me?

Yes just completed the All Roads Lead to Rome virtual race. Received email that my medal has been shipped.0

I've been looking into virtual races- this sounds pretty neat! I'd love to do it!0

Just got my finishers medal in the mail! Love it. So it works by logging in and creating account in MakeYesHappen.com then register for the virtual race you want to enter. There is a fee like most road races. Then you run or walk the distance of the race and logging in your distance using an app or manually. I used MapMyRun. When completed all the miles they mail you your finisher medal! I wanted to get my first one done to make sure it is legit and I am so excited for my next virtual race. Oh and yes as you progress through the race you unlock pictures throughout your route!0

Do you race others within a group or is it just a personal challenge?0 -
I think it is just a personal challenge, but it lists other folks. Would be fun with others. Wanna do it with us?0
-
Sure. Looks knteresting ill try it out!0

Mind if I join in? This looks like a great motivator for walking and jogging!0

Excellent! How about we start on the first of April? That should give everyone time to sign up (and join in if wanted). So The Dublin Pub Crawl, starting April Fools Day (oh, wow... ). You go to the Make Yes Happen website to sign up (no more info as of yet, I haven't done it yet). Sound good?0

Quick question. Are there time limits on the races? A certain amount of days?0
-
@plumcrze1 The beauty of this is its at your own pace. You could set a goal like a mile a day on the treadmill or break it up. I wish it would stop snowing here in New York cause I'd rather run out side!0

No time limits, you just log in your miles and it sends you pics of where you would be if you were really running the race. I've completed Rome,Dublin and The Road to Hana. Just signed up for the Pacific Coast Trail (100+ miles). If anyone wants to "do " this with me, PM me! It is kind of fun to have other folks "competing" with you.0

The White Rabbit and The Pacific Coast Highway. I will probably do Route 66 next. I basically choose mine based on the medals. I also liked the PCH because it is long. I liked the Alice in Wonderland medal as well. I was disappointed that they have taken some events down, I think I would have liked to have entered the Harry Potter race.0
