That's a tough one that I haven't figured out myself yet, but I would say this ..the one thing you can control in chaos is your eating and when you eat out of emotions or binge eat (my issue) it only makes things worse..I've realized that they win if I do this and it's a cycle that has to stop and I have to fill it with other things to do like working out or blogging about my emotions instead...

i have trouble with emotional eating. i haven't solved it, but i HAVE stopped keeping trigger foods in the house, and that helps because i can't eat what's not there.

Ur, that is a tough one and one I battle all the time! One thing that has helped ease is trying to eat as much whole unprocessed food as possible! That said , today I was tired..... And ate a ton of crap! Work in progress!

You have to find a way to defeat it. It's like any other emotional response. You either control it, or let it control you.

Yes... no trigger foods around, and self love. I am going to start writing to myself.

You need to find better ways of dealing with your emotions:

    -keep a journal
    -do yoga
-find a hobby that keeps your hands busy

Can't help you with the emotional eating part but I can tell you to preplan all meals and snacks and drinks. Get rid of your trigger foods until you can trust yourself to use portion control on them. For example: my trigger food that I know I will binge on is peanut butter. This is why its not in my house right now. Write every single thing down in a journal along with how you feel at the time when you eat. It helps me immensely to keep a written journal along with using MFP to log my foods. I can write in so much more in my written journal and can look back at my good and bad days to see what went wrong or right.
