Has anyone had experience with cryotherapy? Looking into it.

I've did some reading up on it and most people do lose weight and feel very "energized" but typically short term. I've tried fad diets and in my opinion exercise and watching what you eat is still the best way to go!

We use cryotherapy where I work.

Liquid nitrogen used to freeze warts or minor skin pre- cancers.

Have done it on other people many many times but never been on receiving end.

For injuries or weight loss? If for injuries, it's a proven method to help with inflammation. If for weight loss, you can get as cold as you want, but if you still eat more than you need, you'll retain fat. Ask a polar bear.

What exactly are we talking about?

My understanding of cryotherapy, as if is called where I work, is spot application of liquid nitrogen via a little hand held pump canister, which freezes warts or pre cancer skin lesions.

Obviously that would do nothing for weight loss or injuries - so I suspect we are talking at cross purposes here.

I've seen deep freeze pods you can sit in that hit some sub zero temps. Wondering about the health effects.
