Hi, I'm 26, married 4 years and I have 2 children. And I gained lots of weight over he past 5 years and am looking to lose about 50 lbs. I want to be able to feel comfortable in my own body again. I used to be a happy confident (not cocky or conceited), outgoing person. And with every pound I have gained my self esteem has dropped a little bit. So I'm ready to Buckle down and get serious. So if anyone wants to add me and we can hold each other accountable that would be awesome. :)

I can relate. After my last baby@ 40yo, my body shut down and held on to every pound and with every pound I felt like I lost a little of myself. To add to the 40yo troubles, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, a digestion problem and asthma and major depression...just to name a few. I've never really had a problem losing weight but I'm struggling to lose every ounce. But I'm committed to my life style changes. We will be successful with MFP. As you can see, I'm optimistic about this journey.

I'm not 40 but I have never had a bounce back type of body. I have had to work diligently my whole life to not be overweight.

Maybe we can lean on each other for support and accountability.

So how do we keep each other accountable? Such as completing MFP for each meal/snack, keeping within the goals listed for calories and the nutrients and exercise? This is my first time on this type of forum.

I lost 50 pounds here a few years ago. It's easy once you get started. I'm here again trying to lose more than 50 after having a baby since the last loss. I'm pushing 40 pretty hard myself also but I'm not having issues losing yet. I lost 14 pounds last month. Good enough for me. I log everything and my diary is open to friends if anyone wants to add me.

Being over 40 sucks sometimes but I think my hypothyroidism is back on tracknow with medication. I'm kinda stoked today. I unofficially weighed myself...3lb lost, unofficially! My weigh day is on Fridays so I have to wait until then to weigh myself again. I got a scale that has Bluetooth capabilities so I have the scale connected to my phone for some added accountability!

Cljohn2006, idk about everyone else. But it will help me watch what I eat just knowing everyone can see what I'm logging so I'll want to eat healthy and not miss working out lol anyone and everyone can add me.
