I seem to go through cycles of motivation and then disappointment when I don't see results (I'm probably not patient enough).
I want to lose weight for my health and to improve my confidence. I'm Hoping to avoid the scale as I used to have an eating disorder and will keep track of my progress through how my clothes fit and improved fitness.

Good for you! It's easier said than done...but think of food as your friend, it's energy to get through the day.0

Patience is key and having a a friend or 2 that will keep you focused will help. Feel free to add, diary is public and I'm active on the feeds.0
