10lbs in 2 weeks is way too aggressive of a goal.

Weight lost slowly is weight you can keep off for life.
Weight lost quickly is weight you will likely put back on.
For me, finding a diet I can stick to for life has really helped.
    Whole foods, plant based diet.
Cut out the fast food and junk out of my life.

You lose a lot of water weight when you first start low carb, so that's probably all it was.

I actually lost 10 lbs my first week of doing keto, but then it slowed to 1-2 after that.

It's not uncommon for people to lose weight quickly the first week or so if switching from a moderate or high carb diet to a low carb diet but it's just extra water you are losing. So you might lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks but be sure that at least half of it (if not 75% of it) will actually be water and not fat.

Be warned: if you don't plan to stick with a lower carb diet that water weight will come back. So I wouldn't advise doing low carb for only 2 weeks if that isn't your overall plan.

In my 30's and early 40's I did the Atkins two week induction various times to get a quick weight loss. I averaged 8 - 10 lbs each time. But I really struggled to stick with the low carb philosophy. Since then I discovered MFP and CICO and that's served me well.
