Lol, that all depends. What do you want to achieve, and is that realistic (different body types, i.e. you might be endomorph, and your ideal body is ectomorph, you might never achieve that). How much effort do you want to put into it. You already have abs, they might just be "hidden". There is a whole range of abdominal exercises which help develop and strengthen the abs, but "really showing them" normally requires to have a low body fat ratio as well

I did a What Is Your Body Type Quiz & the results show that I am a Mesomorph.

    This is pretty much nonsense.
To get abs you need basically to cut your body fat to a very low percentage. Work on your diet if you have weight to lose.

    It's about CICO!!

And what does this have to do with "body types"? You are not making sense.

Without a crystal ball, how can anyone answer that question of how long it will take for your to get "the body you want", without giving even the most basic information of where you're at at the moment (weight, activity level), what progress you've made so far and how, and what your goals are?

So, if you are a true Mesomorph (everyone wants to be a mesomorph :) ) you should just be looking at weights, and your muscles will grow ... Everyone recognizes the mesomorph. He is the high school jock that seemed to put on muscle just by looking at weights while also maintaining a very lean physique. ... you would not even need to ask the questions you asked

So... are you 86kg and 5'2" or 86kg and 6'2".................?

And what do you currently do for exercise?

And what is the closest approximation for "the body you want"?

Mate, people aren't mind readers, you know? :D

So you're a 25 yr old male (from your profile), coming in at just under 190lb and you're 1,57m tall... is that correct?

Fitness Blender has heaps of videos. What do those that you do involve? And how many do you do a day / week? Do you actually actually currently lift any weights for the muscle that you want?

To start, you're going to have to be little more specific, I'm afraid. A general goal of visible abs is a good place to start, if that's what you mean. Strength training is great for building muscles, but in order for those abs to show, you'll have to drop your body fat percentage, and that will only happen by consuming fewer calories than you burn.

    Yes,correct first part.

    Second Part
    FitnessBlender
    HIIT,Kickboxing,Cardio
    1 workout 40 minutes/4-5 days a week
    2.25kg dumbbells

You won't be building a great deal of muscle with those.

Do you have access to a local gym with proper free weights?

You haven't mentioned anything about your diet yet? Do you weigh and log your food?

Same age, male, 159lbs at 5'8ish with a history of on and off heavy lifting so I have retained some muscle in my off time. I'm not shredded. You need to lose more fat. A lot more.

So, you are currently technically obese and are looking for visible abs. Especially since you are young, it is definitely a feasible goal, assuming you are patient and determined. And realise it will not happen in a few weeks or even months. You need to lose quite a bit of weight, so diet will be important, continue with your cardio, add some proper resistance training, and be patient.

Also, considering your height, your goal weight will not bring you anywhere close to visible abs. It might be possible to have a technically very overweight BMI, if there is a lot of muscle involved. But it will mean losing the fat, investing time and energy in some serious weight lifting and will probably require first going much lower than your goal weight, then working on bulding volume, repeating the cut and so on.

You're not going to build muscle with videos. Get in the gym and pump some iron.

Well done on losing 4kg. Excellent start.
I weigh about 56kg (130lb) and lift 100kg (200 odd lbs), to give you an idea of what you should be lifting.
It took a while to build up to that, but with a strict diet, I'm under 20% body fat.

For starters, somatypes are a bunch of garbage. They have no bearing on your ability to gain/lose/maintain weight. They more or less are just fancy words for overweight, underweight, and somewhere in the middle.

If you want to know how long it'll take to get abs, if you are a guy the answer is get your BF down to around 12% or less. For arguments sake we'll say that you can lose 1.5% of your BF per month. So, if you are 35% now, it'll take 15 months. You can do it faster, but that is a reasonably fast estimate. I went from an estimated 30% BF to 10-12% BF in 10 months, but I was very aggressive at the beginning and it is going significantly slower now (closer to 1% per month).

Do a full body strength building routine (something like Strong Lifts 5x5) and eat sufficient protein and maybe you'll be there in a year as you'll probably need to lose 25kg or more, not 15kg.

To piggyback on this, somatotypes were created by a psychologist as a way to predict a person's behavior and personality based on his body shape. They are a model of stereotyping based on body shape and size. They are not indicators of how your body actually works.
