I am a cottage cheese fanatic! Eat it almost every day for breakfast. I definitely prefer the full fat, large curd. I can eat it just plain, or i like to mix in tomatoes, avocados, chives, peas, green onions.. all kinds of veggies are great in it. I think my absolute favorite is a medium (don't like hard) boiled egg chopped up and add some black pepper. It's simple and delicious.0

salty only!
I eat full-fat breakstones (I'm a snob about this) and I like to mix in ground pepper and sunflower seeds. yum!0 -
For fat percentage I like full-fat or two percent. Fat-free dairy is just not very satisfying for me, and in cottage cheese I don't like the drying feeling I get in my mouth with it. (Astringency is the reason I won't eat fat-free yogurt either, blech.)0

Totally love my Cottage Cheese (awesome part is no one else does so it is ALLL mine)
My favorite way is blend it with 2 egg whites, 1 yolk, vanilla, and sweetner packet or honey or sugar (whatever you prefer) then mix it with 1/2 cup rolled oats and cook it like pancakes. Big Protein boost in the morning, tasty with cool whip or sugar free syrup. It does make 'thick chewy' pancakes - but I like mine that way. Keeps me from feeling hungry for a few hours too.0 -
I go for full fat when I can find it and find that some brands taste better than others.
I often do jelly as a mix in, but fresh fruit (peaches) works great too.0 -
I used to hate cottage cheese. I think it was the curds suspended in liquids. I started eating it with tuna or chicken as a salad. That helped a lot. That way it wasn't as soupy. I did learn I only like the small curds and cannot do the fat-free. Now, savory, sweet...WHATEVER. Any seasonings, veggies, proteins, extracts, fruits, jello mix, pudding mix, it all works! Combine your favorite flavors! Even if you have to blend it a bit for a while to acclimate to the texture, it works!
Good luck!0 -

I tried the sugar free jelly mix in and it sadly did nothing for me.
I either use a little chocolate protein powder and peanut butter protein powder or pb2 or cinnamon and splenda or dump a drain individual container of sugar free peaches on it.0 -
I can't stand cottage cheese but it is a great protein source so the only way I can stomach it is cooking it with my eggs or egg whites with seasoning. It cooks like cheese so I pretend it is melted cheese on my eggs and it does the trick. I sometimes add the cooked cottage cheese and eggs in a whole wheat tortilla with salsa/avocado and maybe some turkey bacon and woilah, you have a breakfast taco...:)0

Found the herb mix https://www.litehousefoods.com/products/instantly-fresh-salad-herb-blend
I've gone through many bottles of these, the name just wasn't coming to me! There's also a 'poultry' blend and an 'Italian' blend.0 -
I looooove cottage cheese! Besides fruit I also mix some with a can of V8 juice, sriracha, and lots of pepper to make a soup. Recently I also added a serving to my portion of lentil pasta sauce and spaghetti squash, along with some spinach, and it tasted like lasagne, mmm.0

I eat cottage cheese every day for part of my lunch. No, I don't get sick of it, lol. I used to mix in blueberries or pineapple or a banana. Sooooo good. I always eat a cup of cottage cheese, the 2% fat kind. It's the best. I used to think mixing fruit it was gross but I tried it and love it. It's really really good. You get a salty sweet mix.0

I tried with protein powder today and I'm just not a fan. I think I'll stick to plain and/or fruit...0

I eat mine with fresh strawberries or....salsa is quite good mixed in, too.0

With jello powder is delicious! And on the savory side I like it with cucumbers and salt and pepper0

I like to chop up two hard boiled eggs (I only use one of the yolks, though), add a little mustard and pepper and paprika or any spices really and mix it well. I've also added onions and some leftover chicken as well. Super yummy egg salad - it's great on a whole wheat tortilla or bread or just by itself!0

I prefer savory.
My favorite is with just green olives on top.
I also love it with slices of fresh tomato and canned tuna. Also it is great on a salad instead of dressing.
I never thoughyt to try using herbs and seasonings. I am so going to try it with some rosemary.0 -
I have cottage cheese every day and I definitely prefer it with the sweetness. I usually have it with fresh pineapple or a tbsp of jam.0

For savory, I like black pepper and sunflower seeds mixed in. I also like it as a topping for mashed potatoes, sometimes with BBQ chicken added.
For sweet, lately I've been obsessing on cottage cheese with those little Halo mandarin oranges mixed in. It's like eating dessert! So good!0 -
Applesauce!!!!!!!!!! Plain or with cinnamon...0
-
I like to put hard boiled egg and a little mustard (sort of like egg salad) or pretty much anything savory0
-
I use it as a topping on a baked potato (either regular or sweet potato) instead of butter or sour cream. Got the idea from a restaurant near my office that only sells baked potatoes with many different toppings.0
