First time I've actually... lost... consistently and healthily.

Hello,
I've had MFP for a while, but I usually pretended that I was OK with "just maintaining".
Then, a loss in the family this past winter put me over my personal preferred weight limit, and this February, I started actually trying to lose weight for the first time in my life, using MFP, calorie counting, walking a lot as part of my commute, and the gym.
It's slow, there are good days and bad days, but when I look at the chart, and when I wear my tighter pants, it's obvious that it's working. It's working!
This is so exciting for me, so I just wanted to know if anybody else is a proud n00b.
(My chart shows a large weight loss from last spring, but that was due to a physical sickness and was out of my control, so I really don't count it. Of course since it was unnatural, after the recovery period my body basically begged me to put that lost weight back on, and I did, not worried about my weight, just glad my physical body was over that sickness. This new trend is deliberate, this new trend is healthy, and this new trend will be sustainable for the long term!)

I know I can't believe this is actually working for me.. Started just after Xmas and so far lost 26lbs without feeling starving all the time!! To me it's not a diet as I can still have that glass of wine or choccy treat without feeling I've 'fallen off the wagon' as I know it's within my daily calorie allowance so it tastes even better ! Feel great sleeping better well done to everyone!0
