I've been lifting for a while, currently still lifting and trying to lose 10-15 pounds. I'm trying to decide if I will want to stop progressing in my lifts for aesthetic reasons.
I know all the posts say "you won't look bulky ever it's impossible look at me" but..... most of these pictures are of woman who are deadlifting 135 pounds - of course you won't look bulky deadlifting that much!
My lifts are deadlift: 225, squat: 160, bench: 100, ohp: 65, I don't have much fat on my upper body and I'm looking pretty ripped and have decent amount of shoulders. big thighs, but that's fat too so I can't count it lol. I'm not too 'bulky' for my own taste yet, but I'm wondering if I will be if I get to a 300 pound deadlift?
Also, no judgement, if you have and love large defined muscles more power to ya! I just want to see lifting pictures of advanced lifters, 150 pound benches, 200+ pound squats, 300+ pound deadlifts, etc. to see what it looks like on a woman!

You might take a look at Mike Matthews stuff (Muscle For Life). His book "Thinner Leaner Stronger" is aimed at women and is based on heavy lifting (for women - in the 8-10 rep range).0

I'm completely green with envy that you can lift that much. I'm only repping 75 bench, 90 deadlift, and 135 squat. How long did it take you to get to that kind of strength?0

I deadlift 350 pounds, squat over 225 (haven't tested 1RM in a long time), Bench is only 135 for me. I'm also a competitive bodybuilder.

just checked out his website, the highest numbers i saw on his "success stories" were like, 175 deadlifts. and the numbers from the other before and afters were surprisingly low, like 100 pound deadlifts after 2 months of training.

Dang! good job! def not bulky. It's also hard to tell by looking at competitive bodybuilders when they are posing and oiled up and tanned, because they end up looking way bigger than they would just walking around not shiny with just enough fat to hide their 8 packs.
Thanks a bunch for the pic!0 -

For comparison, this picture was taken a month after the first picture I posted.

^^^my point exactly! thanks for the reference. I'd be ok looking bulky only when flexing and oiled, strong but lean the rest of the time. Also! youtube has answered my question nicely: video of women's weight lifting competitions!

My profile picture is current. I deadlift over 200, squat over 200, and can bench 140. I wouldn't consider myself bulky.
ETA: My profile picture isn't really a good indicator. You can only see half my body and it's probably tiny. Better pic.

Check out Maddie Rogers. She just set the Junior American record in a couple of categories. Her clean and jerk was something like 293 pounds.
