I am hoping that this group will be more helpful as I keep forgetting to go to sparkpeople.com. I lost 20 pounds and then hit a plateau. Please Help!

Welcome. I went to sparkpeople a few times, to hard to navigate the site. MFP is the best i have found. :flowerforyou:

Same thing here - I do like the recipe calculator though.

If you are at a plateau - you could try increasing exercise, cardio and strength and also eating those extra calories....it worked for me...although I don't know your situation.

Best of luck - you will love this place!!

Okay well, this quote thing doesn't like me apparently. But all the same, WELCOME!!! You will love it here at MFP. There are hundreds....maybe thousands of people that are willing to help you tackle any obstacle you may face in your weightloss journey. If there is anything you need just ask. God Speed.

    Welcome to MFP :flowerforyou:
I tried sparkpeople, got some good tips on the email side of things, but I was so lost with the rest!
I've bookmarked MFP as my homepage so it's the first thing I see when I open my browser
Good luck in your weight loss journey :drinker:

    Welcome!

I actually use both. MFP has a far better nutrition tracker (fitday.com was even better than SP), but I like the teams & challenges on SP, as well as all the articles (exercise demos, how to get motivated, how to de-stress, etc). It is hard to navigate at first, but I got used to it! :flowerforyou:
  • I just left SP also. I think the trackers here are more accurate. And it was so slow loading pages for me. All other sites were quick! But SP took 5 minutes a page to load...which led to me not logging my exercise and food and not losing any weight! I'm enjoying MFP so far!

Welcome! I also used SP for a while, but hated their database!! MFP is soooo easy to use and great people here! :flowerforyou:

Welcome! MFP is an excellent place for information, supportive people, and encouragement.

I've already started to change some of my thinking and behavior regarding my diet and exercise, and I attribute that ability to this crew

    Enjoy!
  • I'm doing both as I need the extra boost.
