This is non-MFP related...My fiance has had terrible luck finding a job and finally earlier this week he's hired on somewhere! He won't start until Monday so he's been going to Labor Finders to bring in some extra money until he starts. The company he worked for today wants to hire him as a supervisor ($1 more an hour than the other job). Both companies have great benefits and great pay...but how are you supposed to choose between 2 companies??? Especially when you've been without work for so long? What if the company he chooses winds up not working out and the other company wouldn't have taken him great places?? I'm really confused what kind of advice to give him. Has anyone else been in a similar position? HELP!!!

Thats a tough one.... but at least he already has a working relationship with the one he has been working for... he knows what they expect of him and they also know what to expect out of him.

    Which location is better?
Which one has a chance for moving up in the company?
Which one gives him better benefits?
Which company is doing better financially?

He can ask the HR person these questions or research online.

I would look at both of them objectively. He has been working for the one already and has a relationship with them. Ultimately $1.00 isnt something to fret over if he doesnt feel comfortable. I would also check at how both companies measure up against each other, less commute=less gas $, benefits, possible 401K/retirement plan contributions from employer..etc
