Soreness from weight lifting

I have been lifting for about 9 months and I'm freaking sore all the time! For example, i usually train my lower body twice per week, leaving about 3 days in between. I'm always sore and sleepy. I'm eating well, enough carbs and protein. I injured my back 4 months ago from dead lifting and it's taking forever to heal all the way. Any similar experience or advise ?

If you are still this sore from lifting, especially from deadlifts, check your form. Back ache is telling you your form is off. See a doctor if your back still hurts. You might have a disc issue.

I found this out the hard way. My back used to hurt when I first started weightlifting, until someone at the gym I go to gave me tips on my form. Now I'm usually never sore unless I've increased my weights by a lot.

Check your form first. If everything's good to go there, make sure you're sleeping enough, drinking enough water, eating your veggies, stretching, and moving (gently) the day after your workout. Otherwise, certain vitamin deficiencies can cause excessive soreness.

Sumiblue, I'm not longer doing deadlifts since I got hurt. I got MRI s done and my disk are fine thank god! I just had a muscle sprain.

You need to rest it from all lifts until it gets better (maybe a couple weeks), not just deadlifts as you still use your back for a lot of other exercises (any standing exercise really).

There is no such thing as toning or spot reduction. Eat at a caloric deficit and lift progressively. The fat is going to come off where it chooses to, that's all based on genetics.
