Hi everybody,
I was considering starting with my hubby one of the followings: insanity or insanity:max 30.
I was wondering which one was best suited for our lifestyle.
For myself, I'm followed by a dietitian (so I won't follow the nutrition plan, even if I heard that's a big factor in the results you get. I'll follow my dietitian's plan made for me which takes into account the fact I'll be losing calories because of one of the 2 programs), I workout regularly (4*/week + 1*/week 1h15 of Krav Maga) and my "problem area" is my midsection. I hope to tone that one, but I also hope to tone up in general.
My hubby doesn't really workout, but he has good cardio thanks to playing tennis regularly.
We were first considering insanity, but seing the sessions are 45-60 minutes long is bothering us: I'm a student during the evening (from 5pm to 9 pm) and my hubby comes home from work at 7 pm. Working out at night doesn't scare me (even if i prefer working out in the morning), but I'm scared that we would go to bed late and he'd be tired in the morning to go to work. So I found out about the max 30 (which workouts are only 30 minutes long), but i'm scared it won't be as effective as the original (which I heard gives great results when following it with monitoring your diet)
Anyone can tell me if the 2 programs are equals or not far from each other in term of results and efficiency?
Thank you very much and take care

Max 30 is better in my opinion. More intense and doesn't 'waste' 10 minutes stretching! Do some stretching earlier in the day if you're struggling for time in the evening. Max 30, so long as you push yourself really hard, is a really good workout and should keep your heart rate high for the full 30 minutes.0

That's what I was thinking too. It's more "appropriate" for the schedule constraint we have. I was just scared the results in term of inches lost wouldn't be as great. After the max 30, during the holidays when I don't have school you think we could tackle the original insanity program?
And other question, i know my core and back muscles are quite weak, is it ok to do something like a 30 day plank challenge + some back exercices in the morning and so the max 30 in the evening? (I think that's why i've belly, ok i've fat but I know also my core doesn't hold my stomach in a lot)0 -
There's a 10 minute abs workout as part of the max 30 program, you could do it in the morning.0
