I'm really interested in getting a HRM but I have no clue where to start!

As a student I need to go for one at a lower price point but still effective (had a bad experience already with a 0.99p pedometer off eBay which frankly does not work) any suggestions welcomed!

Thanks!

I bought a cresta pm383, which works GREAT.. not sure if you can get cresta over where you live,t hough. It was 30 euro. Although i suppose you could always import it lol.. I don't think you'll find a good one much cheaper than that.

    *is a student, too*

Amazon are selling a Beurer PM 25 Heart Rate Monitor for £35.95
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Beurer-PM-Heart-Rate-Monitor/dp/B000I6FN5I/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I26JY0LFW4CWV&colid=6191UJJG37G1
It is meant to be very good and won some award.

If you are in the UK, Tescos sell one for £20 but I have no idea if it is any good.

Hmmm been looking at the Garmin Forerunner 305 or 405CX but confused.
The 305 doesnt work out the calories burned correctly - which is a major problem as I want something that is accurate - but the devices that take heart rate, ascents/descents etc into account aren't accurate either.

    So what do I do?

I KNOW the Garmin Forerunner 305's HRM fits me - my colleague brought his in - so that is fine.

I am so confused over the whole thing... maybe information overload?

I am walking loads - and just started Couch to 5K too...

Or should I bite the bullet and get a BodyBug / Ki-Fit?

Or do I buy an Ant+ thing for my iPhone and a HRM and just use MapMyRun? arrrrghhh

Polar Ft4 or FT7 should work for you. I paid 79.99 dollars, so not sure what that translates into for Euros, but take a spin around amazon. They have some good deals going on right now.

The FT4/FT7 - doesnt have GPS on them - am kinda wanting GPS to track distance - also for use when I head to Cyprus in September too as my iPhone's MapMyRun uses A-GPS and not full GPS so it wont work out there :/
