I have a BMI of 23.23 and heard recently that I shouldn't be lacking so many calories. I currently eat about 1,200. Is that too little?

  • My BMI is almost exactly the same as yours and I eat 1320.. I have it set to losing .5lbs a week though :)

It depends on many factors! You don't say how much exercise you do and whether you're eating back your calories? If you're eating back any exercise calories on top of the 1200 then I'd say that would be fine for a weight loss program - as long as the calories you're getting are good ones of course!

    height? weight? goal weight?
    exercise routine?
    just cardio? (bad)
    or weights too? (very good)

and open your diary so advice can be given properly.

most likely you should be eating more, but it's hard to tell with the current info.

You should be set at HALF a pound per week, that part is for SURE even with just seeing your ticker and no other info. I just saw your weight is 117 and your goal weight is 110, so you don't have to answer those. Height is needed though.
