Hi, my name is Jessica and I work from home. I'm looking to do the same. I've had good results when I keep a regular food journal and know someone is watching, but whenever I stop logging I gain weight back. I know what I should & shouldn't eat, so I don't really need tips or judgement, just someone to look at my journal on a weekly basis to see that I am logging regularly. I need to stay mindful of how much I am eating. That being said, I do allow myself to indulge in not so healthy foods (in moderation).

Heyyy there. I'll definitely be happy to help you stay on your feet! Feel free to add me and if you'd like, I'd be willing to exchange numbers so you can contact me whenever when you need a boost, to complain, to share success, whatever it is that's on your mind!

(Also, free of charge, I can remind you to get your butt in gear. ;P)

    Hello Ms. Samantha.
I'm not very good with social media and I'm not very good with keeping in touch. But I did want to offer some words of encouragement.
    "You can do this!"

I think the key factor is consistency.

I'm 44 this year and I started my journey Feb 1st at 170lbs. My heaviest weight since having 5 kids. I set MFP to 1200 calories a day but barely made progress. Then I changed it to 900 calories/day temporarily to speed things up.

I'm was not active at all. I have a business I run from my kitchen table with my husband, an elderly grandma who lives with us and requires care and 3 demanding kids still at home. (I'm not complaining, I'm just saying my life is busy, when do I have time to workout?)

Just a month ago I have been carving out 10 minutes 3x a week to do PopSugar's 10min core workout (you can find it on YouTube).

I have since gotten down to 155 and I have 25lbs more to drop to reach my goal of 130. I'm 5'4 and hear that's a good weight for me.

So Ms. Sam, you are on your way! Pick healthy foods you love and others you can learn to love (cauliflower, yuck!, but I'm learning to love). Stick to your calorie intake and consistently do something you like that gets you moving!
It doesn't have to be a lot, but it has to be consistent.

Today at 155 I definitely feel better than when I started. My food cravings are gone, I stopped snoring, I dropped a pantsize, my husband is noticing my curves (that I like, especially after being married 20yrs). I don't have a muffin top anymore, which I am really happy about because when I reach my goal I will be able to fit into anything without having to look frumpy. Yes, I can say 'shopping spree' when I reach 130!
Today I added arm workout to my routine so I can finally go sleeveless this summer after 10 years of hiding my arms.

I will reach out every once in a while and ask about your progress. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer.

Be consistent Ms. Samantha. Drink lots of water (I infuse mine with lemon, green tea, honey, etc.)
Calorie intake works for me, but you may need a different approach, I don't know. That's a personal call.

Eat lots of vegetables, add lean proteins and everything else in moderation.

Get moving, even it's just a little, but when you do, keep moving! It's consistency. (Or you could say commitment, but my brain shuns it for some reason when regarding weight loss, it's a psychological thing I guess.)

You can do this Sam! I wish you the very best on your journey. Losing weight is a very hard thing to do, but I've learned that it's not impossible.

    Much love and hugs.
    -KYAS

PS. Yasso cookie dough yogurt pops help me to keep my sanity! They're only 100 calories and I have one a day! Sugar free Jello is also excellent !
