Progress as of Week 12

Three months ago I started my new diet.
In the first month I lost 10-13 pounds in about 3 weeks. (From what I understand this is the rumored "water weight" people lose at the beginning of any diet change.) After those first 3 weeks, I noticed a change in how my clothes were fitting, but there was no actual change on the scale until about week 6 or 7 of my new diet. After that I was losing about 2 pounds a week.
And then the last two weeks happened. I didn't lose/gain in my weigh in for week 11. Then I gained 6 pounds for the most recent weigh in (week 12). I was disappointed and confused.
However, when I did body measurements (which I do for neck, arms, waist, hips, and thighs at the beginning of every month) I saw that I had lost at least an inch in 4 of the 5 categories!
So while I seem to have stalled on the scale, I'm still making progress in inches. Still a victory in my book!

Way to go! In my opinion, inches lost are way better than pounds. Your weight isn't printed on your forehead. So it's all in how you look! Keep it up.0

Inches are much better! If you're regularly lifting/exercising you're turning that fat into lean muscle which will show as a gain. I'd also recommend just taking a picture of yourself, at least, once a month. You'd be amazed with how much you really change! That's what helps me stay motivated.0
