Can't do burpees

Options
So I'm doing insanity. I'm starting week 3 tomorrow but can't seem to do burpees. When I try to jump back it seems like my legs just don't want to. But when Im in plank I can jump forward no problem.

Any suggestions?

Try using something to prop yourself at an incline.

    Move each leg back separately.

Step back one leg at a time instead of jumping?

Greenicefloes- thanks for the link! It'll really help

I've been doing one leg at a time but it doesn't seem to be helping. I'll keep going though. Thanks

Yoda is all knowing, lol. But when I did Insanity, T25, or Insanity Max 30, I always stepped back into my burpees and stepped back up. My knees do not like burpees.

Burpees are the devil incarnate. I'd rather do three additional circuits of whatever the hell else than do a single burpee.

I probably couldn't do a straight burpee to the ground... the trainer I see has me do burpess from something a bit below waist height instead. You might find this helpful! :)

You can always step back- instead of jump while you work on it.

So- hands down to the floor
    step one foot back
    step the other foot back
    lower yourself down
    push up
    jump forward OR
    step one foot forward
    step the other foot forward.

    totally doable- you'll get better!

    So much this.

Start at the start and build from there. Make progress and get better - that's a good direction to be travelling in.

My jump back isn't so pretty...my workout buddies call it a donkey kick. Not sure how it started, but I can't break the habit :)
