Breastfeeding a toddler - how many calories burned?

Hi everyone

I'm breast-feeding my almost sixteen month old. She eats quite a bit of solid food, but she still nurses several times a day and (much to my chagrin!) several times at night too.

Any ideas how many calories I should allot for breastfeeding? I know an exclusively breastfed baby can burn 500 cals, but not so sure for an older baby?

I probably would just set yourself at light activity and not log anything else

I exclusively pump and they say for every ounce it's 20 calories burned. For breastfeeding, however, I'm not terribly sure. Perhaps you could Google how much toddlers consume on average for ounces in breastmilk and go from there?

There is the option of breastfeeding a toddler in the database. Not sure on accuracy though

400-600 is the norm, so given the babies size, probably closer to 600. :)
