Opinion: Any diet works. No matter what you choose.
The trick is to say within the calories MFP gives you.

Thanks. Makes sense. I'm just trying not to lose muscle tissue since I trained so hard to get it.0

Be careful of any diet that contains the word diet in it. What this basically means is that it will cost you money for the 'privilege'...0

I'm not sure of any details of the diet but in general the more you lose in a week the more muscle will come with it. Also lifting heavy during calorie deficits will help you retain muscle.0

To avoid muscle loss you need:
-a moderate calorie deficit
-lots of protein
-a strength training program0 -

I would say adequate protien not lots of protien. Yes I'm being nit picky but when you say lots of protien I think of people who say things like 1 gram per pound of body weight which is so uncessary. Protien itself won't help you retain muscle and I've seen quite a few sources that say as low as .6g per kg of body weight is enough to retain muscle.0 -
I am on the Grapefruit Diet , Down 2 pounds in 2 days0
