Confused about calories needed for weight loss?

I am a 5 foot 6 female, 18 years old and I weigh 133 lbs. I'd like to loose a couple of pounds which I've put on, but I'm really confused about how many calories id need to be eating. If I ate 1200 net calories a day would I loose weight from this? Or should I not log my exercise calories? I've heard mixed things but surely when I'm doing exercise such as weight lifting, and spin classes I should eat a bit more on these days so I'm not starving my body of the calories it needs? I probably burn about 200 calories a day from exercise as a minimum, so I eat about 1400 a day to make my net 1200, but is this right for weight loss? Thanks

Since you're at a healthy weight, 1200 is likely too low for you. I would change your goal to half a pound a week and eat that amount (net, which you are doing correctly).0
