Your weight fluctuates everyday. You should weigh yourself once a week in the morning when ur most depleted. Rememver if your putting food in during the day your adding weight to your body. Chances are you are in fact losing weight.

If it's only been a week, you've got to give it time. A week is not nearly long enough to identify a trend. You could have had a little extra sodium yesterday, which would cause a retention in water weight. It could be a time in your cycle that you are naturally heavier. It could be that you're not actually in a deficit.

Would you mind opening your food diary? You might get more specific feedback if you do so.

Have patience. Weight loss is not a straight line downward. Most likely you have some water retention, especially if you recently started exercising, increased your exercise, had alot of sodium, are ovulating or ToM is coming up.

    Possible reasons why:

    1) You are ovulating, which can cause water retention.
    2) You are soon going to be starting your period, which can cause water retention.
    3) You've eaten more sodium or carbs than usual.
    4) You need to go to the bathroom (bm.) Sometimes when you don't eat much, you go longer between "going" and that's extra weight on the scale.
    5) You've started a new exercise program that has caused you to retain water.

Those are a few possibilities. If you are truly eating at 1200 calories, it isn't fat. Keep in mind that your weight is ever-changing. Drink 8 oz of water? You'll weigh a half pound more. Keep weighing yourself but look at the overall trend in the longer term, which means over several weeks. It's hard now because you don't have many data points but that's really the way to look at it.

It has only been a week. If you are indeed eating only 1200 calories/ day then you will lose fat and muscle at such an intense caloric deficit).

It could be the change in your diet resulting in you carrying more water. IDK anything about this but menstrual cycles supposedly can effect the scale as well. Either way, you're going to drop weight at 1200/cal a day. stick with it. Maybe even eat more.

Record EVERY morsel.... and hang in, still too early to judge the loss. Stay true to your goal and results WILL happen.
