How do you all season your vegi's. I love vegi's, but just really don't know how to cook them to make them taste good, but still keep them healthy. Any suggestions?

    Salt, pepper, garlic powder, lemon pepper, butter spray, vinegar - or even just plain is good for me!

    it depends on the veggie
    asparagus= dill or mint
    mashed potatoes = garlic and white pepper
    cabbage = red wine vinegar
    green beans = cider vinegar pepper and celery salt
    peas = onion
    cauliflower= taragon or rosemary
    potatoes = rosemary and basil or thyme and garlic

    I made these the other night- Cut up 2-3 yams with peel on into small pieces/cubes, cut 3-4 squash or zucchini into bigger pieces, add about 20 baby carrots, and sliced onion if you like it. Drizzle with a tiny bit of olive oil and toss to coat. Pour into a baking pan or cookie sheet lined with foil if metal (not needed if glass) sprinkle with pepper, a little salt, onion and garlic powders(scarce amounts), and bake uncovered for 40 minutes at 350. It was sooo yummy. You can use small red potatoes too but sweet potatoes/yams have a lot more vitamins. I also love cauliflower cooked to tender them mashed with a little fat free cream cheese and salt and pepper to taste. I use garlic and onion powder on all my veggies.

    I do most of what everyone else suggested: garlic and onion powders, cayenne, salt, pepper... I also tend to use a lot of lemon juice. If I roast them I use chicken stock to toss them in so they keep moisture and I don't have to use oil. I also use a mixed spice from a specialty spice store called Foxpoint Seasoning. I get it at Penzey's spices which has a store online. I'll use that and lemon juice on a lot of stuff. Also try Mrs. Dash. They have so many different flavored Mrs. Dashes now!

    I put red pepper flake and garlic on everything I eat. It helps me eat my veggies . . . and I'm very, very picky.
