Toe Pain with Running

I have recently signed up for a half marathon, and have stepped up my training in preparation. It seems that when I run more than 5 miles, my toes on both feet hurt quiet a bit, and continue for the duration. I have had my gait analyzed, only buy those sneakers, and replace every 300-400 miles. Any thoughts on why this happening, or how to stop?

You could try altering the lacing of your running shoes. I had an almost cramping feeling in both toes earlier this week, and by tightening the lacing above the arches of my feet it seemed to support my foot better and the discomfort has gone now.0

Where do your toes hurt? Do you wear an insert or orthotic in your shoes? You might be gripping your toes when you run...being fitted for an insert like Superfeet can help. Do they sell those where you buy your running shoes? I'd go there for help.0

Thank you for your responses. I actually use Superfeet in all of my shoes (I have PF), except for my running shoes. If gripping was the problem, would Superfeet help to correct? I will go back to my running store and ask their suggestions as well. Thank you for your help!0

These might sound silly...
Do you have calluses on your toes? If you do get pumice and get rid of them.
As suggested above...your shoes might be laced to tight
Are your socks to tight at the top? Are they hitting and nerve or cutting too much blood?
When you get tired are you loosing form? You might be hitting your heel rather than hitting flat footed.
And yes, as @Chargunshow said, you might be gripping your toes. Relax and maintain form.0 -
When I was fitted for shoes the girl suggested (strongly) that I go up a half size from my normal street shoe size to prevent my toes from hitting the ends of the shoe when I ran. I've never had an issue with my toes hurting. Just a thought.0
