Hi everyone,
Just a quick question... would anyone know roughly the calories in a dish of pie, mash and liqour gravy. Been invited to a traditional pie and mash shop where they also sell jellied ells :-/ and would like to prepare myself in advance.

Or would it be better to work it out as

1 pie = x amount of kcals
1 scoop of mash = ???
and gravy =

Thanks for any responses!

It depends on whether it's a proper pie n mash shop, what's the liquor made from? That's a good way to tell

Surely the point of liquor is it's a closely guarded secret?

This seems to be a standard liquor recipe, try working it our from the ingredients and log whichever pie you choose and mash separately:

    25g/1oz Butter
    25g /1oz Plain flour
    300ml/10fl.oz. Water
    4 tbsp Freshly chopped Parsley
    1 teasp Malt Vinegar
    Salt and Pepper
  • Hi everyone,
    Thanks for the responses.

It was a proper pie and mash place but got there and it had closed down. So didn't have that after all! Oh well.
