Over on macros, under on calories

I'm a bit confused with my diary for today, I've got 400ish calories left but I've gone over on every macro (using the MFP provided goals). How is this physically possible, surely the grams of macros recommended add up to the calories recommended?

Something in your entries has to be off then if they don't add up. Verify the ones you used with either the nutrition info on the package or, for produce and meats, with the USDA's database.

I'm fairly new at this, but aren't the Macros (in the pie graph) done by percentage? So if you're over in one, you should be under in another. If you have calories to spare, try to choose something that fits into your lower percentage macro. That should help even it out. If you're looking at the bar graph for nutrition info, and you're in the red for carbs or fat, then maybe it has to do with the food choices or perhaps there's some sort of error?? I'm still in the learning process of all this, but I'd be interested to hear how your problem is resolved.

I go over in macros all the time because I have to eat more to reach my goals after exercise. My percentages are on target for my personal split, but gram wise I go over. It's impossible not to if I have to eat more to hit my caloric target.

Double check your entries, they are probably inaccurate.

The calorie value on today's Indian Roti is too low by about 100, compared to the macros.

Thanks so much for your help guys! I will double check the entries (it's really hard to be exact in the college dining hall, I can't measure anything)

You have erroneous entries...your macros are what make up your calories give or take rounding
