protein? Foods

I usually have steak chicken or ground turkey as my meats. Anything else that would be high in protein. I'm not a fish person at all.. need other sources of high protein foods with low carbs.

Cheese, tofu, beans, lentils, yogurt, eggs, nuts, and seeds are all great sources of protein.

What's wrong with pork? It's really cheap compared to beef right now.

I've just never really been a pork person... Love my beef and steak... Worn out on chicken... Since I like more of the chicken and rice diet... Or chicken and veggies

You need to have a proper rack of ribs, then.

TO piggy back off of this: venison, goat, kangaroo, ostrich, venison, antelope, duck, pheasant, wild boar

Never had ostrich or antelope yet. The rest are delicious, though.

Besides meat, I eat eggs, cottage cheese, and greek yogurt for extra protein.

Tofu is cheap and easy, I just made a batch of tofu "jerky":

1 block tofu, pressed to drain water and sliced into the thinnest slices you can get
Scoop of sriracha and squirt of soy sauce (balance it to your taste, you need enough to spread over the tofu slices)
garlic powder or any other flavoring

Brush both sides of each tofu slice with the sriracha mix. Put them on a baking sheet with parchment paper, and cook it in a 200 degree oven for 3-4 hours. Let cool completely, store in an airtight container in the fridge. Low calorie, high protein, easy and cheap snack.

So many different tastes and textures with pork...really versatile.

Want lots of fat? Braise or slow roast/smoke pork belly or ribs
Lean - loin (brine it if you want) and grill or broil
A little less lean - slow cook a sirloin roast in the grill or oven
More fat - take a shoulder or butt and slow cook for pulled pork or braise for an incredible stew

Of course that doesn't include back bacon, bacon, ham and other yummy foods.

Here pork is far less expensive than chicken and beef....
