Starting on a new journey and trying to eat less carbs. Any advice x

    Eat a large protein portion and two or three servings of veggies -- all of that with more fat or oils than you used to eat.
    For example, dark meat chicken with stir fried yellow squash and mushrooms in an alfredo sauce.

    I assume you mean less carbs such as sweets and pasta and bread. You can eat a lot of vegetable-based carbs. Here's a meal I've used for a few weeks now that VERY easily fits within meal calorie goals: Lentil dal. Serve it over cauliflower rice instead of white rice. Plenty of protein and fiber

    Thanks for the ideas like lentil Dahl. And I've been having it with Brown rice. As not keen on cauliflower rice
