Does anyone drink preworkout shakes, meal replacement shakes, and/or post workout shakes? Thoughts on them? Brands? Flavors? Best places to buy them?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I like Premier Protien shakes. Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry. They have 30g protein for 160 calories. I buy then at Sam's Club. 12 for $16 something.0

I'm going to look into those. Thank you!0

Those are my favorite too. Costco has them in 18 packs for $24.99. BJs has the chocolate and a $3.50 coupon for them right now.0

I read online that one of the dangers of protein is high levels of arsonic and metals. That makes me kind of worried about protein powders now.0

Myprotein do all sorts of flavours for a good price0

I love Muscletech Cookies and Cream. Not too sweet. When mixed with almond milk and super cold, it tastes like an oreo blizzard that has melted.0

I tried the shakeology shakes (cafe latte, chocolate and vanilla). They're expensive (and seem gimmicky) so I didn't want to like them. I like them a lot though (except for vanilla). They're actually quite satisfying and tasty.0

Thank you! I tried some of my boyfriends protein shake. It is Syntha-6 cookies and cream flavor and I didn't care for it too much. Lol. The consistency was weird but the flavor wasn't bad! I'm a baby though and could t stomach it.0

I like Syntrax Matrix in peanut butter cookie and mint cookie. They are too sweet for me as is but I cut the sweet with peanut butter powder and cocoa powder.0

I like the Vega One plant based protein line. Kind of spendy, but the mocha shake made with a frozen banana, pumpkin purée & roasted beet as well as some Greek yogurt, a tbs of nut butter & some freshly brewed coffee is DELICIOUS.0

That sounds really good! I also looked into plant based proteins. I think hemp was the one that seemed the healthiest. Don't quote me on that one though. Lol0 -

I drink 1-2 premeir proteins from sams on my way into work depending on my workout, and I drink 1 New Whey on the way home from work (Watermelon)0 -
I just bought FitMiss from Amazon. I will post an update after I try it tomorrow.0

Optimum Nutrition's chocolate whey isolate is the BEST I've tried. I also do the vanilla sometimes and add fruit, but the vanilla one tastes a bit too artificial.0

Optimum Nutrition's Extreme Milk Chocolate or Mocha Cappuccino.0

Gold standard whey protein. Their cookies and cream is pretty good but my favorite is the strawberry banana. You can get it online cheapest probably. But comes in a big tub and lasts a while! Good investment.0

I use Sci MX diet pro meal. its 26g in 192 calories. Has cla green tea and a few other helpful things in. I have the vanilla tasted amazing, strawberry was good, wasn't fussed on the chocolate0

I drink Ideal lean for women I like the fact that it doesn't have sugar or carbs 80 calories and 20g of protein0
-
EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Ready to Drink Shakes. I prefer the strawberry cream or rich dark chocolate flavors. About 100 calories, 2 net carbs, and 17g of protein.0

I actually just got into protein shakes. I really didn't like the flavor of them. But, anything cookies and cream flavored from GNC brand is actually quite good! Mixed with milk and it actually tastes like a treat with just a hint of protein shake aftertaste.
I still haven't found one that is good mixed with water, though. If I don't have enough calories for milk, I just chug the thing.0 -
I like Orgain Chocolate protein powder. It's plant based (I'm lactose intolerant), and you can get it for a pretty good price on Amazon or in Costco. I only use about half of the recommended scoops (one instead of two) and I can stretch out a container for about 2 months.0

@Btheodore138 I was thinking of trying the Orgain chocolate. That's another thing that is on a Coupon at costco right now. It's 2 3/4 pounds for 23.99. So you like it a lot? Maybe I should try it.0 -
I actually like the plain multipurpose powder from Quest. It doesn't have the weird aftertaste of some protein powders, probably because it's unflavored, and when I make shakes with it I can better control the sweetness. Typically I just mix it with soymilk in the AM, sometimes I toss a bit of vanilla extract, honey, or chocolate syrup in for flavor. A cup of soymilk+protein powder and 2 hard boiled eggs carries my to lunch easily.0

For a protein shake, I get Progenex in ANY flavor! Seriously, they're all good!
Meal replacement:
GNC's Lean 25 in Chocolate Peanut Butter! Omg, I mix it with 8oz of Dark Chocolate Almond Milk, 1 banana, 1 Tbs PB, 2 scoops of the powder and 5 ice cubes!
It seriously tastes like a chocolate peanut butter shake! I've been buying them for about a year now, and I have one every day for either breakfast or lunch0 -
@melissa6771 Yeah, the chocolate one is pretty good. The vanilla...not so much. I usually blend one scoop with a frozen banana and some almond milk a couple hours before a workout for energy. I think it's delicious.0

I use MyProtein and have salted caramel and vanilla flavours. It's not the highest in protein pet scoop at 20g but that's outweighed by the cost compared to other higher protein brands.
They taste awesome, I'm fairly addicted to the salted caramel one!
If you go on their website they often have some really good deals on. My last order worked out £10 per kilo pouch of whey powder.0 -
I like orgain it's all organic no gmos no chemicals no soy vegan 150 cals for like 21 grams of protein1
