MUSIC: What songs move YOU?

So music has been instrumental (pun intended) in getting my booty in the gym.

I generally don't mind excercise but certain songs just make the time pass sooo much faster.

What are some songs that you guys just can't help but move to when they come on? Whats that song that just puts a smile on your face whenever you hear the first chords? Or whats a song that hits you deep hard in the heart that forces you to push through whatevers got ya down?

If I need a song to push through something difficult, I like awolnation's 'kill your heroes'

Other than that I have an embarrassing amount of music from the 90's/early 00's. Ben Folds and Blink 182 have been popping up quite frequently. Anything upbeat and goofy works for me.

I'm Gonna Be 500 (Miles) - The Proclaimers
Shut Up And Dance - Walk The Moon
Walking On Sunshine - Katrina & The Waves
Walking Back To Happiness - Helen Shapiro

Anything with a fast steady beat really. :D

As above plus Cancer Bats, Drowning Pool, Meshuggah, Judas Priest, Lamb of God, Flyleaf etc. Anything loud and in ya face.
Also listen to a lot of Eminem, DMX, NWA etc as well as cybergoth and hard techno.

For running I tend to use military cadence songs (USMC/Airborne/SEALS etc) as I'm rubbish at keeping a steady pace and they really help.

I've been using the app "Rock My Run" the last couple weeks. A little bit of a learning curve, but you can set your cadence, have it adjust the beat of the music, etc. I did the free version for 2 weeks, but it helps so much on my runs that I paid the ~$26 for a year with no ads, etc. Anyone else use it? Oh, they have TONS of genres: club, rock, metal, alternative, country...

80s music is great. New wave stuff always has a good beat. And 80s punk and rock fires me up!

My workout playlist is a hodgepodge of industrial, techno, metal, pop, and soundtracks. I will say, though, that "Bleed" by Meshuggah always manages to push me through the sludge of "wah wah, my friggin' legs hurt".

Sandstorm by Darude is in my Clubbercise class at the moment. I got so into it that I pulled a muscle the first time! It's my favourite in this routine :)

I was out doing C25K last night listening to my spotify playlist, and when Till I Collapse by Eminem came on, I found it really pushed me, so much that I listened to it two or three times!
