Hey Everyone!
I've joined a six week Boot Camp which starts today at my local gym. Feeling quite excited but think it's going to be tough. Three hour sessions a week, Monday - Wednesday - Friday. On top of that I'm looking to do some healthy eating. I eat a lot of bread and part of my personal challenge is to cut it out for the whole of the six weeks. I will keep you posted if I manage it. My main aim is to get rid of some body fat. Currently I am 26.3%.
Has anyone else done a Boot Camp?

I haven't ever done a boot camp but it sounds great. Good luck
Where about are you? How did you work out your percentage of body fat?0 -
Thanks!
I live in a wee fishing village beside Buckie (Scotland). I got my % fat done through (Wright Fitness) who are doing the boot camp. They have a machine that measures it. I was planning / thinking of documenting the whole six weeks just so I can see the changes (if any)

This is the machine that measured my body fat. Got weighed first then details entered in including age and height

Ah okay, cool. I'm in Scotland too...near Turriff
Documenting the whole experience would be a good idea and I think it would be great for others on here to read about it.0 -
Had my first session last night. We did a fitness test first and this will be repeated at the end to see the changes in performance.
The test had a set number of push ups, burpees, lunges, squats and kettlebell lifts and you had to repeat as many times in 12 minutes. Wasn't as bad as I thought, looking forward to Wednesday night for the next session.0 -
Super excited for you! I used to love that kind of workout. And I've honestly not been as fit as in the past so I've avoided it. Just the beginner test sounds challenging. Please do document via a blog or a post, would love to hear your progress and what kind of things you're doing in class.
Congrats on signing up...and attending!

Hey thanks bebeisfit!
I'm pretty sore today, my muscles have definitely had a workout, but looking forward to tomorrows class. The test itself didn't sound that bad but it was challenging I managed 4 complete sets before the 12 minutes ran out. I'm actually surprised i did that as set 2 i was pretty goosed.
You should go back to a class like it and I'm pretty sure you'll get back to / near the fitness level you were in the past. As they say don't do it for tomorrow... do it for today!
I'll keep regular updates on this forum over the next 6 weeks.0
