NSV - my shopping surprise

Fridays we get to wear blue jeans to work, and I noticed that my jeans were all on the big side now (yay!). So I went to buy a new pair. I picked up a size 10, looked at it and thought, "My legs won't fit into those! I better try on a 12." I took the 10 and 12 both into the dressing room with me. I didn't realize quite how big, baggy and sad those old jeans looked until I was looking at them in the dressing room mirror. I tried on the size 10 first and, to my delight and surprise, they were too big! I went back out and got an 8 -- it fits!! I've been feeling a little discouraged by the scale lately, so this NSV is just the thing I needed!

    It's a great feeling - I bought some jeans about 10 days ago that were 3 sizes smaller. I put them on this morning and I think they're too big now....

    Fitting in a GOOD pair of jeans at a SMALLER size is better than a scale victory to me! NICE WORK! Keep it up!

    Thanks everyone for the encouragement! I'm sitting here in my new jeans now and I'm still excited. I haven't worn size 8 since before I was married & had my daughter. Someone at work made a comment about my "skinny jeans." Boy did that feel good!!

    WOW !! Thats so encouraging. Just last year I was wearing an 8 as well then quit smoking and I blew up like a balloon. I am now dealing with the weight from my quit. Thanks for posting this - it makes me happy!

    Congrats! I was just going to say that others will notice now that you have pants that fit.

    i just started wearing my new pants, and have received a couple of comments on how much weight I've lost. It was worth all of the hard work!
