I am high carb and loosing weight.
Beans, lentils, brown rice, quinoa, barley, oatmeal, sweet potatoes.
Often these foods are high in fiber. Keeps my stomach full at night.
It's all about the calories... all about the calories.0 -
Thanks For the help0

No. And unless you have sleeping issues caused by eating late, you don't need a set cutoff time.0

These kinds of things (no carbs at night/evening cutoff, etc) are simply strategies for controlling calories. There's nothing more to them than that really. The same can be said for any diet or meal plan...they're all simply different ways of controlling calories.
You have to remember that calorie counters are in the minority as far as weight loss/weight management is concerned...so the vast majority of these kinds of recommendations you come across are aimed at those other individuals in an effort to help them control calories.
I don't eat grains or starches with my evening meal most nights...maybe 2 or 3 nights per week I do. I only do this because I don't log or count calories...it's just an easy way for me personally to control my calories...and have a little more wine. I do not employ any kind of eating cut-off strategy though.0
