At first I thought this thread was sacrilege (not really) but y'all have a good point. :)

    Love TJs.

But the salsa in the refrigerator section is weirdly sweet and vinegary.

And yeah, the sushi is pretty disappointing.

But so much love for them in general.

I'm a TJ fan. But there are two items I will never buy there again. Their corn salsa (it has a weird chemical aftertaste) and their boxed mac & cheese. My very non-picky kids wouldn't eat it.

Interesting that a few of us mentioned their salsas being not great. What's up with that? What's so hard about salsa? heh

I do not like their salmon.
The texture is weird and it looks like us has orange dye in it.

I'm a big TJ's fan, but I have gotten a few less than awesome things there. I think the worst thing has been the kale chips - they weren't seasoned well at all.

I don't think they make it but Better'N Peanut butter was the only thing I ever returned. And it's one of their best sellers. UGH.

I'd return the yogurt if it wasn't out of my way.

We dont have a Trader's Joe here in Louisiana as of yet. I believe they are opening one very soon on Veterans in Metairie, my question is are their prices better that the whole food market?

Prices are MUCH better at Trader Joe's. But it's not a one for one swap. Trader Joe's is a lot smaller and carries a lot less stuff than Whole Foods. I go to both

I like Aldi's black bean salsa, never tried TJs.

I just thought of this, but I really didn't like the PB&J chocolate bar.

Exactly, I actually can't compare the two stores.

    Fresh produce

I agree. Unless you're using it right away, their produce doesn't hold up over time.
