When I log my exercise it adds more calories for consumption. Do I eat those calories? I am scared if I do eat them I will have too many calories and gain weight. On the flip side I am scared if I do not I will not get enough and then not lose or worse yet gain weight. Advice please!!!!

A lot of people on here eat half their exercise calories back because MFP can be off on some of the calorie burn estimates.

    Agree with SeptemberFeyre.

I flip between eating them all back, and eating none of them back, so I supposed my average is to eat half of them back over time. =)

I never eat them all back but I do use some for a snack. It's kind of a treat for exercising. I don't like to eat them all back because then personally, I feel like I exercised for nothing.

On good days I don't, but on bad days, usually around my cycle, I do!!!

MFP is set up for you to eat back your exercise calories, however, like someone said, the calories burned and the calories consumed are not always accurate so be very careful about eating them all back.

I don;t even log my exercise anymore. That way, I don't worry about eating back calories or not. I just log and stay within my calorie limit. It seems to working as I am losing weight easily. I did not do this before and did not lose weight.

I would eat about half of them back. You can look at my log and see that I use dip into some of them (MFP is designed for you to eat them) but not all of them.

Thank you all. That makes sense. I wanted to hear what others had to say before I decided one way or another. In general I will not eat them except for maybe on occasion a few for a snack.

When I enter my exercise I manually chg the calorie count for the exercise to about 1/2 and then some days if I'm hungry I eat back some or all of those calories:)
