Anyone else not having any weight loss?

So I've started my new healthy lifestyle about 6 weeks ago! I went from sitting all day eating junk food to bettering myself. I have MFP set to lose .5 pounds a week (but I eat less than the calories it gives me sometimes). About 2 weeks into using myfitnesspal I lost almost 2 pounds instantly! Now it's been 4 and a half weeks and I haven't lost an ounce and am not sure why. I am very active now, walking about 15k steps a day and also working out for an hour or so using Daily Burn. My eating is also great; I eat very healthy and less calories than before I started this lifestyle. I don't understand how I could be doing so well with being healthy and active and have no weight loss? I'm not seeing a change in clothing fit yet either but it might be kinda early for that.

    Weigh and measure absolutely everything
    No cups or spoons food scale & jugs
    Get the right calories for your body
    Becareful of eating exercise calories
    Drink water
    :)
    I had a 3 week plateau I reigned in my weighing measures etc it worked

    How are you tracking calories? Do you weigh things on a food scale to ensure a correct entry?

    I don't weigh everything, but I estimate the best I can! There are some things I measure with tablespoons or cups for example. I might start to weight things.... I bet I'm eating more than I think.......

    Yep very likely. Get yourself a food scale and don't use cups or measuring spoons. They are horribly inaccurate. Weigh EVERYTHING.

    If your in a calorie deficit you should lose weight, I'd stop the fruit and yogurt if I were you

    Eating more than you think and an unnecessary view on what is healthy. You can eat anything you want and lose weight, not saying processed food is necessary.

    Eating more than you think and an unnecessary view on what is healthy. You can eat anything you want and lose weight, not saying processed food is necessary.

    Well I really want to get in the habit of eating better foods. Not only have I felt better, but eating more fruits and veggies and cutting out more bad things have helped me improve my workouts too! I actually had donuts and Chinese the other day, and when I went to workout I felt super sluggish, sick, and got exhausted wayyyy faster than when I had a day of healthy eating. Ive heard that you can lose weight by eating whatever you want as long as you stay in a deficit, but doing that will cause me to fall back into my old habits!!!!

They crash hard. You see the same story all day here.

    I totally understand...... Last summer I got into the "healthy fad" to stay fit during college and then once the semester started I couldn't keep up so I just quit trying and ate whatever I want. Now here I am 8 pounds heavier than last summer and am trying to find a permanent change. I'm tired if trial and error!! I don't want to give up this time so I'm definitely looking for advice.

    It's about balance. Making better choices helps and sometimes makes eating your calorie goal easier, but the most important thing is sustainability. You have to eat in a way that you can see yourself eating until you're on your deathbed. If you make changes that you only want to do until you reach your goal, you haven't really changed anything - most then gain it back.

    The difficulty of losing .5 lbs per week is that the tracking needs to be near perfect since the mean daily deficit is only 250 kcals. It essentially requires weighing all dense calorie items (cheese, nuts, fats, etc.) and tracking everything else very carefully.

    Anyway, if you're not losing you're not in deficit. You should be in a deficit though because you have 15k worth of steps. You can't be that OFF in measuring your cals. I would switch to 1 lbs loss and eat back 50% of the cals of activity see where it takes ya

    maybe ur gaining muscle replacing fat. weight loss always fluctuates. ull be ok . keep up the good work
