Just wondering and im pretty sure it's maybe different for each person, but my question is how many lbs do you have to lose to see results? Im far from my goal weight but i have lost 19lbs n have yet to see where or feel a difference in cloths?? Or is it just too soon to tell and im being impatient?

Depending on how have heavy you were from the start, the longer it will take. Generally the more overweight you are, the longer it may take to 'see' the results.3

Too soon, keep at it1

it is different.
I have lost about 50-55lbs and to be honest I look in the mirror and don't see the change.
I know I have changed as my clothing is smaller and when I hold it up Im like no way...
others notice more than I do.2 -
Thanks ladies!0

Exercise shows up quicker if you do a good amount as your toning
I lost 71lbs and looked smaller than my weight as I exercised a lot0 -
i have lost as of this morning 10.3 lbs and i see a different in my stomach and in my face.0

Take progress photos. You will see a difference.1

Depends on your starting weight and weight distribution. I lost 10 lbs and everyone and their brother noticed. My boyfriend has lost 25 and I can't tell at all, because he has a lot of weight to lose whereas I only had about 25 total to lose.0

This. I lost 9 pounds and everyone gushed about how I'd lost a "ton" of weight. The flip side to this is that I regained 5 and had to stop wearing my smaller clothing.0 -
My first 22lbs I lost, not many people noticed, but as I got closer to a healthier weight people noticed. BBBBIUUUUTTT i still dont see a difference lol, idk maybe its because we see our body everyday, so try using cloths to monitor, or before/after pictures.0

No one ever notices that I'm losing weight until I'm right at about 25 lbs. Keep going!!0

20 lbs down from about 205 to 185. I don't even notice half the time. I was wearing pants that were too tight for me at 205. So I wear bigger pants now that fit, but they don't seem any looser than when I bought them. Sometimes I can wear my belt a notch tighter, but don't know how much of that is just the belt stretching a bit since I've owned it. I've lost some inches, but none where I want (stomach).
Also helpful to think of human beings as spheres and think about volume versus surface area. If you double the radius of a sphere, while surface area will be quadrupled (400%) volume will be octupled (800%). So in reverse, we need to lose a lot of volume to see it reflected in our surface area.0 -

This is a great suggestion. Sometimes it's easier when you can compare before, during and afters.0 -
I'm similar to @blues4miles. I lose first in weird places like face, chest, legs...stomach is the last thing to go on me. It's hard when your pant size hasn't changed.
Congrats on your 19lbs and keep up the good fight.0 -
I'm not physically seeing results or feeling them either until I looked at my before/after photos where you can clearly see the difference. Congrats on your 19 lbs loss! Keep at it!0

Yet again thank you all so much for the great feedback! I just was a little disappointed I couldn't see it yet but you can best believe I am still going to keep keeping on!!1

Congrats on 19lbs gone!! That's a great accomplishment!
Throughout my journey I feel the same way even though I'm down almost 70lbs
I see cute 1x dresses all the time and I'm like, Ohh that would be so cute, then I shake my head because I don't wear a 1x anymore but in my mind I believe I do. I've actually been tempted to buy one a time or 2 and every so often I try on an XL because I'm convinced that it will fit. It's a mental thing because I was big for sooo long. I between a 6-8 now and I think everything looks ugly on me..0 -

What???? Why? I know it is mental and it takes a while to adjust to a new body shape and size, but experiment with different styles, shapes, patterns, colors, etc. You'll find your new style! Do you have any local boutiques you could go to where they help you pick things out? Sometimes a different perspective helps. Anyway, from your profile pic you look great!0 -

Congrats to you no your 70lbs loss that's my big goal im just working on small one now looking for another 19 to be out off 200lbs0 -
I could tell in my face pretty fast. With my bestie, I could tell he lost weight after about 8 pounds or so. He looked slimmer in his chest and stomach. Me...I have a lot to lose, so the changes are not as physical right now. I have lost 12 inches total with 12 pounds. Pretty stoked about that. I am starting to have to heft up clothing, which means I should probably start looking for the next set of clothes.0

Thank you. And I know it sounds a bit crazy. I've been heavy almost my whole life. I understood how to dress when I was in the 200s and wearing sizes 16, 18 & 20. Not so much that I'm in the 150s. I see my stomach more than ever. My husband thinks I look great but I'm finding myself still hiding in pictures. I go to specialty boutiques, they put me in stuff, everyone oohs and ahhs. I buy it go home and put it in my closet and find a pair of jeans...
Anyway Danye, it's all about perspective. My vision is just blurred by a thick layer of fat....19lbs is awesome, keep it up!1 -
Photos and measurements are the way to go. I still feel frumpy but my profile pic shows I'm going the right way and also the way clothes feel is a key indicator of progress.0
-
That would vary from person to person - I had 20lbs to lose to get nicely within a normal healthy BMI - after 10lbs I started feeling slimmer and people started noticing.
On a heavier person it might take them losing 20+lbs to feel they can see results happening... everyone is different.0 -
You are doing great. When I look in the mirror I don't see my weight loss either. People around me are letting me know it's working though. I say find a piece of clothing that is too small or too tight and try it on every week. You will feel progress in the way that clothing fits even if scale doesn't show it.0
