So some of you may remember yesterday I posted that I chickened out TWICE when I went to the gym before. Well this morning woke up at 5:30, walked by butt to the gym and..... I DID IT!!!! I worked that treadmill like a BOSS at 3.5 speed and 2 incline :) I know for a lot of people thats nothing but for me IT WAS HUGE!! I even attemped the stairclimber ... needless to say it kicked my butt. And I did 1 set of 10 on all the weight machines (it was more to see what they were like and to figure out how to use them) I am so proud of me now here comes the TMI part....
I dont own a scale yet so I dont know if I have lost anything yet but I think I might be shrinking because my stretch marks are usually tight and well stretched lol and lately they've been like not stretched lol kinda wrinkly lookin lol
Am I the only one that has had this experience?! I am soooo proud of me!!!

I EVEN MET A REALLY NICE LADY THERE!!! IM LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING BACK MONDAY!! We won't be going tomorrow because we're going to a HUGE swap meet (walking allllll morning) and then we're going to the mall (fun and walking)
Thanks for everyone's support and help!!!! Love my MFP peeps!!!! XOXO

congrats on your NSV! even though you don't have a scale you should also take your measurments. at the very least your waist and hips, possible your bust and watch those numbers. I have seen my biggest loss through measurments than on the scale. which is okay with me, I don't care what the scale says. I'm going for a healthy life style and the way cloths fit.

Share those NSV's girl, we all have been there and will know what your talking about. Measure, measure,, measure for sure. Bust, waist, hips, thighs, calves, upper and lower arms, and neck. You will be surprised where you start losing it. You need to see it in numbers, it helps when you get down and don't feel you doing anything to go back and say this is where I started and this is where I am now..YES I AM DOING THIS!!!!!!!!

Don't cheat yourself out of those small NSV's girl, they feed us to keep going...Good Luck and Don't stop....

I'M SOOOOO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!! That takes a lot of guts to overcome your fears  I'm also really happy that you met a nice lady so maybe you can become workout buddies! That is when I did my best at working out. I hate canceling plans, so I would always show up for our workouts

In the stretch mark department.......I totally know what you mean. I still have the silver marks but they are more hidden. If I stretch my skin out, I can see them. It is amazing how much of a difference it makes to lose some weight and inches in the tummy

    Congrats and fantastic job!!!!!:flowerforyou:

Totally hear ya on the stretch marks thing. Mine are getting smaller and harder to see and I'm still 5 lbs. away from halfway (for me, the 50 lb. mark)! Though we're stuck with them, they will keep improving little by little.

    Congrats to you!

Great job! It can be so scary going to the gym when you haven't been for a while, or ever, lol

Keep up the great work! =)

I was freaked out when I thought about going to an actual Gym to work out. I kept thinking oh my what if I do someting wrong or have an asthma attack people are going to think I am a fool!! I don't care anymore. I just do what I have to do. I have found most people are really supportive. Though I still think in the back of my head they are laughing at me....LOL....Congrats on your NSV, and keep it up!!! And a virtual "High Five" for getting up at 5:30 am!!!

That is awesome! I was so scared going to the gym on campus and what made it worst was that I have a free membership as long as I'm a full time student, so I've been wasting all this time! But I finally went last year with one of my sorority sisters and now I'm counting down the days till the semester starts back so I can put my hours in! Lol
  • "Like a Boss." That's hilarious. I totally know the feeling of starting but it's just over whelming. I'm so happy for you. And that you are excited to go again. HOpefully that lasts forever. You are kicking butt!!

So proud. Gyms (at least most of them) are no longer the meat market like they use to be. So keep going, you will be so glad you did.
