Suggestions for weighing homemade soups

Today makes the first day that I actully went and bought a scale and weighed my food all day. I lost 28lbs since January just guessing and estimating my servings and today with weighing everyrhing I was actually able to eat more than I was expecting. My question is how do I go about weighing my home made soups? I like to use lottsss of beans chicken and vegetables and make big pots to eat for a few days. How do I weigh?

    Use the recipe builder. Weigh and enter all ingredients into it. Figure out how many servings there'll be and enter that.

    I use volume instead for soups as a rule. My pressure cooker pot has cup markers, so know if I make 8 or 12 cups etc....I make 1 cup 1 serving.

    If making a stew, I weigh the final product (the last stew was 2kg) so I made each serving 200g...

    I weigh the pot, then I weigh everything as I add it, then after the dish is done, I weigh it and subtract the weight of the pot. I log a serving as one ounce.

    I make soups a lot. I use the recipe builder to add ingredients by weight then I figure out how many cups I get out of that and that gives me my number of servings. I log serving sized by the cup. Since I have already weighed all ingredients there is no great need to weigh my servings.

    Definitely use the recipe builder! I do that at Weight Watchers as well. Enter all your ingredients before you mix them together and put how many servings your recipe will be in the end and use that. I would still weigh it when you serve yourself some just to keep track of it that way as well.
