How much weight do you gain during the day? (water/food/ect)

I've been curious about this for a while. I start my day weighing myself in the morning (around 7am) underwear only. I weigh myself later in the day (around 4-5pm). When I weigh myself later in the day, I gain about 2-2.5 pounds, I'm assuming it's the water, food and pee. Today I weighed myself at 254.3 (started at 274), and later in the day I weighed in at 256.4.
What I'm wonder is if it's normal to gain that much weight through the day? It seems like that is too much weight to gain though the day. I should say I take medication that constipates me, but even still I'm just curious if this is a thing. I get paranoid that I'm not really losing actual weight, but water weight.

I weigh less as the day goes along. The exact opposite of most people. I weighed at 6am this morning before work and weighed again at 8:30pm when I got home from work. 4lbs less tonight. I'm always 3-5lbs less in the evening. I attribute it to eating approx 75% of my calories within 2-3 hours of bedtime.
I'm a special snowflake, lol.0 -
it's normal. i gain 2 to 3 pounds throughout the day, and in the morning when i weigh, it's gone.0

Sounds pretty typical. If I bother checking my weight before bed it's usually up 2-3 lbs, then right back down in the morning.0

You mean how much weight do I eat and drink during a day? 2-3Lbs0

I fluctuate a lot thru the day also. The best time to weigh yourself is the morning. And I try to do it once a week. Because I find the more you weigh your self the more frustrated you become. And stress can definitely help with weight gain.0

I can gain a pound or more between first thing in the morning and after breakfast. I'd probably burst into tears if i weighed myself any further into the day!0

I gain between 3-4# each day.0

About 3 on average for me too. It's very normal!0

Same, about 2lbs. Sounds normal to me considering what I ingest.0

I don't often weigh myself after the morning weigh-in, but when I have, I might be anything from down a pound, to up 2, 3 or occasionally even more. Drink two cups of water, add an instant pound! It's not a big deal.
You can't really compare weights from different parts of your day. You can't even compare most mid-day weights from one day to the next day unless you have a very consistent exercise, eating & drinking schedule.
I weigh daily, first thing, and call it good.0 -

Food and water has weight to it.
Tomorrow, when you weigh your food, keep a tally of how much it weighs.

About 2-4 pounds.
In the mornings Ill weigh 101 pounds and by the evening ill be 104.
It also depends on what ive eaten too. For some reason dairy makes me heavier lol ALL THAT ICE CREAM0 -
Lately I have been somehow weighing exactly the same at 6:30am as I am at 8pm. It's probably because I only eat around 500 calories between that time and I also go to the gym. Most of my calories are saved for dinner so I don't have to stick to salad + protein. Bring on the chips!0
