How has weightloss affected your life?

I figured I would get a thread started for others to see what they have to expect/look forward to when they reach their goal. What good or bad experiences, changes, etc have occurred since you have began this journey? Also include how much weight you lost/are trying to lose.

I've lost 63 lbs, want to lose just a few more, maybe 5-7.

Anyway, one way I recently noticed that it has affected my life is that I allow pictures to be taken of me, with my kids. There are so few from the last couple years because I was embarassed by how I looked but now..take ALL the pictures! We even had a family photo session yesterday (I cant wait to compare to the one we had done when I was -30 lbs!).

I've lost around 50lbs and have been in maintenance for 3 years now. Biggest change has been that my glucose number has stabilized into the 80s (was flirting with prediabetes before the weight loss ). My cholesterol numbers have also improved and are pretty awesome now :) Other things-sleep has improved, varicose veins in legs have calmed down, sex drive has gone up, self confidence has improved and I'm more comfortable in my own skin.

I've lost 35 lbs. I also run and work out. I have more energy and more confidence. I also got off the diabetes drug, Metformin a year ago. My sugar is under tight control at the moment. My only regret is I didn't do this years ago. Better late than never.

I've lost about 70lbs (1/3 of my body weight). So much has changed that's it hard to remember it all!

    - I've grown 0.5" (seriously, not what you expect at 43)
    - I have so much energy, I need to think of new ways to burn it every day, including..
    - I go running now (NEVER thought that would happen)
    - I went from size 16 petite to size 0/2 petite
    - I can buy designer clothes massively reduced right at the end of the sales because I'm much smaller than average
    - I had to change my hair style, because the old one covered my face
    - I honestly can't remember how I used to eat to get so big
    - My cholesterol didn't go down, but went up (which was a massive negative surprise), so I..
    - switched to plant-based, whole-foods (vegan) diet, and ended up silencing my doc with my amazing new numbers, which means..
    - I have even more energy now, and the clearest skin I've ever had
    - I feel ALIVE and the best I think I've ever felt as an adult!!

Lost around two stone (28lbs) that had been hanging around for 20 years.

Better health - I'm now way beyond predicted dates for spinal fusion and knee replacement surgery. Fitter than ever.
    Less pain - see above.
    Full of energy.
    Sense of accomplishment and self-esteem.
    Influencing others, especially family.
    Women find me irresistible.

(OK the last one is a lie!!)

I don't recommend weight loss to anyone. It has turned my life into a living nightmare. I can't keep the ladies away from me. They surround me like The Walking Dead and I try to beat them off with a bat, but they keep coming back. Not only do I never have any alone time, but they constantly kill my cell phone battery with texts and notifications from all the snapchat nudes coming in. They say things like "I think your ginger beard is godly, Please demonstrate your destructive capabilities, you egyptian god you," and I feel like I just get overwhelmed at times. It affects my sleep, my motivation, and I would just like a getaway at this point.

I'm gaining 30 more lbs as we speak, so I can go back to playing video games and drinking beer by myself.

    Hahaha

    wait....what's your number? jk jk!

I've lost 79 and I'm going for about 20 (give or take) more.

    I:
    • shop for cute clothes and actually have them fit. I've gone from a TIGHT US 16 to a 6/goinginto4
    • my shoe size went down 1/2 a size
    • run for 25-35 minutes without stopping. When I started I was lucky if I lasted 20 seconds.
    • "race" my 7 year old home from school
    • my hormones regulated and the periods I wasn't getting (we're talking like 2-3 periods a year) finally began to become regular, which in turn allowed me to finally try and conceive a second child
    • had 2nd daughter with a relatively easy pregnancy and gained half of what I did with my first. I remained active and gained less than 25 lbs. Had a nice easy labor, only 4 hours
    • play with the baby on the floor and not have everything hurt
    • no balance issues. I used to fall down the stair frequently or roll my ankles while walking
    • better sex (teehee). No seriously, it's way more active now
    • more outdoor play with the kid
    • more household cleaning because I actually have the energy to do it
    • sign up for a 5k and not freak out about whether I can walk 3 miles, let alone run it (hint, I can and have run it)
    • stopped snoring
    • stopped being out of breath
    • I'm more confident in myself
    • I'm generally more happy
    • I'm disappointed and saddened I didn't do any of this sooner.
    • I lost some hair from eating too little (not recommended)
    • I learned a great deal about nutrition and what my body requires calorie-wise
    • found alot of great MFPers and have even met and done a 5k with
    • spent more money than I care to admit on clothes

I see you like to run. Well, I'll attempt to beat you at your own game, and if you can catch me on a 8 mile trail run, then you can throw a rock at my head and steal my phone out of my pocket while I'm passed out to get my number.

    Energy level is much better.
My 6 year doesn't want me to get thinner, she thinks I'll get to her size. Lol flattering but not happening.
    Shopping is more fun.
    Exercising isn't miserable.
Willpower is getting better with time.

I enjoy being a member of the minority of people in the US that have a normal BMI.
I don't get exercise headaches anymore.
    I can run a mile in 7:30 whereas before...run a mile? LOL.
I actually look good and can fit into a lot of cute clothes.
I went from the ridiculous position of weighing more than my husband who is nearly a foot taller than me to now weighing almost exactly 100lbs less than him.
I have finally gotten rid of my crippling fatlogic.

Negitive - my boobs are shrinking!!
    - my teenage daughter keeps stealing my
    clothes
    - spent to much money on clothes
    - I'm tired all the time ( so I'm a little jelly of everyone who says they have more energy) but I'm on the go from 6am-midnight w 3 kids lol so that could be the reason

    But everything else is positive!!!
    - not having to shop in a plus size store/ department
    - developed a heather relationship with food ( work in progress!)
    - less ibs issues which is great!!
    - Smaller grocery bills

I lost 40 Lbs a few years ago...and actually, today marks three years of maintenance. My weight loss hasn't had any profound affect on my life other than I'm much healthier now and very fit...I used to get winded and tired taking the dog for a walk...no I can go get on my bike and ride 50 miles just because it's a beautiful day out.

I personally haven't found people to treat me any differently, but I've always been a fairly confident person. I do feel all around sexier in my own skin though.
