I've done the 30 Day Shred (3 days a week) and noticed significant changes after only two weeks.. and I just got Ripped in 30, which is very similar so far. Jillian Michaels makes you work for it, but you'll get results fast! I've also been throwing in a 10 min solution - kickboxing.. I like that too.0

If you have comcast cable, they have a free section on the 'On Demand' section (channel 1). Go to Sports and Fitness, Exercise, and then there are a lot of exercises and dance choices. Even some 10 minute ones. They change all the time so you don't get bored. Your paying for it...might as well try it.
Good Luck.0 -
My favourites are: Zumba, Boxercise, Swimming and my gym workout.0

I Zumba jog, walk and tae bo and I feel that I get the best workout for myself with Tae bo and burn the most calories. But that is up to every individual on what their preference is0

Chalean Johnson has some great workouts on beachbody.com. I am doing Chalean Extreme right now and just love it! It has only been 3 weeks but I can see a difference!0

Hi it really depends on what your looking to achieve. As an avid fitness fanatic, I would suggest mixing cardio (such as aerobics and zumba - which should increase your heart rate making you hot and sweaty), this will burn off those unwanted calories and loose the weight. You also need a toning class to firm up those flabby bits.
I work out 4 - 5 times per week and do a selection of the two. I am not out to loose weight at 1381b but want to maintian my size and fitness level (actually I want to get fitter),
The other thing you need to remember your body will get used to the excersize reguime you choose so you need to mix it up, and dont forget if you have any injuries such as back, leg, heart or any other med condition let your instructor know and they will moderate the exersizes for you.
Hope this helps0 -
www.Bodyrock.tv its free, its like 15 minutes or less workout and very effective (its effective 'cause its intense). I'm a mommy of two and I haven't got the time for nothing else. Not that I would want to anymore.0

Here's an exercise routine that I saw on here an liked. You can use pretty much any 4 exercises for it, so you can do things that don't need equipment, like squats, push ups, crunches, dips, etc...
"Get a regular ol' deck of playing cards and keep the jokers in. Pick four exercises and assign one to each suit. Today I am doing heart = clean and press, diamond = sumo deadlift high pull, spade = medicine ball slams, club = sit up. Start flipping the cards of the deck over. Complete the number of reps the card is for the exercise assigned to the suit. So I flip the 7 of hearts, I will do 7 clean and presses. Aces are 11 reps and jokers are a 1 minute plank. Keep flipping until you have gone through the entire deck.
You will end up doing 65 reps of each exercise :-) "0 -

I enjoy doing the les mills classes at the gym I go to. If your gym has classes I highly suggest them because its not the same ol' treadmill elptical thing every day.. I am one of those that gets bored easily. And if you try the classes don't give up the first time you go in because it takes time for you to get use to what they are teaching in there. And another great part of a class is that not only do you get a good work out you also meet new people and make good friends eventually.0

Another vote for 30 day shred!!!!! Love it!0

I have a gym membership - so I use that the most (I pay for it, I'm gonna use it!). But, I also do Tae Bo. I LOVE Tae Bo and have done it on and off for.. oh, 10 yrs or so. It isn't as popular as Jillian Michaels, Insanity, or P90X but I still love it.0

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qq7RUjAZrJs&feature=player_embedded <<< that's a 3 minute ab workout. After doing it once, my abs were SO sore the next day! My abs are pretty weak to begin with, so if you want more of a challenge, see how many times you can do it!0

Give Jillian Michaels the finger, and go lift, pull, and push semi-heavy to heavy things.0

I recommend a personal trainer for a few months. They will teach you how to work out, monitor your performance and keep you motivated until you are ready to go it alone. The cost is a factor, but when you consider that you are creating a new you, it is worth the investment.0

P90X but make sure to modify and don't kill yourself the first couple of weeks.0

Mountain bike......it will work you hard.0

I agree with another poster that said a personal trainer if you're able. He/she will teach you the proper form for weights, help with nutrition and give you routines to do.
I've been seeing mine since January and before him I had no idea how to work the weights or even what exercises to do. Now I can make up my own routine and do it on my own at least twice a week.0 -
This is going to sound weird, but I've just done a week of 100 pushups club and lost an inch round my waist!!! Coincidence? I'll find out as I keep going.
When I first got to my goal weight my arms were unpleasantly skinny (my underarms were like caverns!) so I want some meat on them :laugh:0
