Time for change

Hi guys
I'm Steve, turning 50 in a few months so decided that I had to loose some weight and be more active so I could see 60, lol.
I started 4 weeks ago and been dieting and training daily, first weigh in today and lost 18lbs so doing something right but a long road ahead.
Looking for fellow dieters for inspiration and chat.

Hi Steve, Well I'm 69 and need to lose 50. I look forward to losing some pounds. Great that you lose 18. I hope to do that in the near future. Congrats. Driving a bus lacks any activity, so I plan on a walking campaign. I should have kept track when I was younger but it's never too late. Good for you. Warren

Cheers Warren, yes driving buses is rather sedentary isn't it, walking is a great fat burner if u keep up a nice sturdy pace, I take the dogs out for the day on a proper walk and can burn 2500-3000 calories easily.
I invested in a heart monitor that's tracks calories, heart rate, etc, I've found it very useful to keep me in the fat burning zone whilst training or running.
All the best on your journey but remember it's a marathon not a sprint, the best piece of advice I was given is to stay off the weighing scales, I just weighed myself for the first time after 4 wks of dieting, or find a piece of clothing you want to fit in to and keep trying to fit into it till it's comfy, honestly you'll get there.
